Many people feel that if they get divorced, all the hurt and pain will go. If there is a separation, my troubles will be over, you may say. I’ll have peace and have relief from all the stress. Really? If you have children, you’ll still need to communicate with the other parent. What about the reasons that led you to the divorce in the first place? Believe it or not, those problems will continue to follow you into relationship after relationship until you have gotten to the root of why the divorce happened in the first place. Marriage is two individuals coming together to be one, each of you have strengths and weaknesses. It’s the weaknesses that cause the problems. What if someone could show you what areas you and your spouse will have your most difficult problems? We here at the Penewit Center can do just that. It takes two, but if
you see your marriage falling apart, you know that you have things to
work on, so why not work on them to try and save your marriage? Stop
looking at what someone else has done and focus on You. No one can
change another person until they want to, so if you put your focus on
what you can change, you might just see things in a new light. 1
Cor. 13 is a good chapter to help you see where you may be going
wrong., it’s not comfortable to think that “I” might be the problem or
at least part of it. Ask yourself, “Do I want to live a life full of
love and happiness?” If the answer is yes, What are you willing to do?
We all can do things to change our circumstances. Start right
where you are, and begin to walk out 1 Cor. 13. If you need
someone to help you know what areas you can improve on Call and make an
appointment, you’ll get some tools that will help you with the rest of
your life. Let us pray with you and give you some helps on what you may
be able to do to “Save" You, your spouse and children a lot of hurt and
pain by working out the differences. You won’t regret it, even if your
spouse isn’t willing, at least you can be sure you know you’ve done what
you could and you can be ready to be the best you can be! |
